Mercy Among The Children

Disregard my last post. Ground control has deemed it necessary to leave our not famed fifth record floating in space forever, alone and remote, unless a discovered-at-the-age-of-thirty-six miracle should happen to us a la the great GBV, and people actually go digging for our older stuff. There will be no sequel to Deep Space Bistro. The next record will instead be a slight one, 13 or 14 songs, kind of a continuation of the first half of Gimme Gardens, but with a bit more thought put into it. I'll be doing most of the drums for it, as I have acquired a taste - as well as a reasonable level of competence - for that particular instrument. Another reason for this is the crippling anxiety that has let me unable to leave the city because it involves getting on a bus where inevitably a strange panic engulfs me and I feel as if I'm trying to outrun an invisible force which has somehow got ahold of my heartbeat.
The new record will be called Mercy Among The Children and it should be done by March. After that we'll make our epic Exile On Queen St up at a cottage somewhere away from the distractions of the city, namely bars and...well, just bars I guess. Lotta bars down here. Saw one the other week there on Dufferin and Eglinton called Second Beer. You don't go to a bar called Second Beer for your first drink, know what I mean?
Anyway, keep an eye out for Mercy Among The Children. Our apologies to David Adam Richards.
